Maintenance of photovoltaic panels

Control and surveillance
of illegal plantations

The thermography is a non-contact measurement method. In a short time it is possible to scan solar modules on a large scale. Thermal anomalies and temperature differences in the modules become immediately visible and bethey live at the first indication of possible errors.

Advantages of using drones in inspection:

A good read

Since the radiation emitted by a body is always the sum of the absorbed radiation and the body's own radiation, we are interested in knowing what is the emissivity of the objects to be inspected and prepare the camera before the inspection with this value.

The camera captures an uncompensated reading that we will then have to improve. It is also very important to prepare the camera beforehand, choosing a suitable range of temperatures, or also choosing a color palette that helps us better detect what interests us.

During the flight it is important to maintain an appropriate distance as well as a suitable angle of the camera on the object to be inspected.

To get a compensated reading, we need to know other values that affect the result, such as the distance of the drone to the object, the temperature and humidity at the time of the flight, and take into account the weather, for example if it has rained or not before inspection.

As you can already see, it is not so easy to carry out an inspection, and a sufficient level of knowledge and experience is needed to be able to do work with guarantees.

Benefits of thermographic inspection

1.

Visualize in real time the thermographic map of the plants

2.

Reduction of personnel required for monitoring

3.

Lower maintenance costs

4.

Faster fail finding

5.

Temperatures of the modules

6.

Automation of routes
